Director of Payer Relations and Government Affairs
Nicole Coustier has expertise in reimbursement strategies for products in various points along the product life-cycle. She specializes in developing commercialization plans well in advance of FDA approval, as well as refining coverage and payment policy for products already well-established in the market. Ms. Coustier’s areas of expertise include:
* Engaging CMS, local Medicare contractors, and managed care medical directors, policy analysts, technology assessment groups
* Securing new codes from AMA CPT, HCPCS, and other coding committees
* Obtaining favorable payer coverage policies
* New technology add-on payments, APC carve-outs, and analysis/comment via payment policy cycles
* Presentations for and reporting of government policy and industry meetings
* Clinical trial coverage, coding, and reimbursement
Prior to joining Quorum Consulting, Ms. Coustier worked in communicable disease control and environmental health at the California Department of Health Services. Her experience in the public sector complements her current work at Quorum Consulting, both in terms of implementation of health care policies at a local government level and organization/coordination for clinical trials and other research studies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California at Berkeley.
