This annual conference arms pharmaceutical companies with strategies for designing and maintaining their patient assistance programs to achieve optimal value and to maintain compliance. This meeting convenes executives from the pharmaceutical industry and from PAP foundations and clinics to create an excellent forum for exchange, networking and learning.
CBI’s 9th Patient Assistance Programs conference covers the changing regulatory environment, as well as operational and strategic issues for manufacturers to best structure, operate and remain compliant with their PAP.
Here, Quorum’s Bridget Metcalf and Nicole Coustier led a half day workshop on “The Fundamentals of Patient Assistance Programs”. The two presented a wide range of case studies displaying various types of PAPs, potential challenges, and the importance of using collected data to evolve PAP processes with the changing market, patient populations and payer environment.

Hosted by the National Materials Advisory, this roundtable on Biomedical Engineering Materials and Applications (BEMA) is focused on identifying issues of significance related to biomaterials and the medical devices constructed from them. Mr. Tong’s presentation is focused specifically on the economics of device innovation and the effects on the patient.

Cynthia Sherman joins Quorum as Director of Business Development

Prior to joining Quorum, Cynthia was the Director of Reimbursement for Millennium Pharmaceuticals. She also has been a Principal at Covance where she was successful across project management, client management, and business development functions. Cynthia received her Bachelors of Science degree from Longwood University and her Master of Arts from Marymount University.

Cynthia has worked across a number of different clinical specialties and therapeutic categories including: solid organ and bone marrow transplantation; infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS; cardiovascular diagnostics and therapeutics; and neurology.

Cynthia is currently an active member of the MedCAC, the Medicare Evidence Development and Coverage Advisory Committee. She serves as an industry representative. The Medicare Evidence Development & Coverage Advisory Committee (MedCAC) was established to provide independent guidance and expert advice to CMS on specific clinical topics. The MedCAC is used to supplement CMS’ internal expertise and to allow an unbiased and current deliberation of “state of the art” technology and science. Her background working directly with CMS is a tremendous asset.
