Cost Effectiveness Tool in Dermatologic Agent

Quorum Consulting builds tool to identify cost effectiveness in novel dermatologic agent

Business Challenge

A large pharmaceutical company consulted with Quorum Consulting to explore ways to study the pharmacoeconomics of a new dermatology product. Working together with the client, Quorum Consulting proposed conducting a cost effectiveness analysis that compared the novel agent to existing drug treatments.

Our Approach

Quorum Consulting performed a meta-analysis of all relevant published clinical efficacy and cost data for the treatment of a particular dermatologic pathology. Quorum Consulting also consulted with leading dermatologists and incorporated their input as we designed the cost-effectiveness study.

Our Solution

Based on the results of our initial work, Quorum Consulting built a Markov model that simulated disease states and treatment pathways. We incorporated cost and efficacy data extracted from our comprehensive review of clinical trial literature.

Results Delivered

Results of Quorum Consulting’s research were published in a peer reviewed journal.
